Re move
1-channel video installation, 26’30, HD, colour, stereo, 2017
The project Re-move is based on the autobiographical research (2010-present) on 'Migrant Women after WWII’. The works in this project are composed of the artist’s performative gesture of moving and re-moving, following the migrant women of Gemany, Japan and Korea (including the DMZ town of Yangji-ri). The works also shed light on the realization of the personal trajectories of the migrant women who existed within the axis of history but are now vanishing, and the idea of human subjectivity that’s only temporarily constructed within it. Various boundaires are accumulated here.
